THIS IS NOT OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF NORTHALLERTON RUFC
Founded in 1963 through the determination of a small group of passionate local rugby supporters, Northallerton RUFC is today a monument to their efforts and the efforts of the many faithful club officials and players who have kept rugby very much alive in difficult circumstances in a small rural outpost over the last four decades.
During its formative years, facilities were primitive, even by the poor standards of all Irish sports through the ‘60s and ‘70s. With no permanent home, the playing pitch was a transient entity, moving from location to location until it found its long-term and current home in Fossabeg on the Scariff “Bog” Road, which was purchased in 1991 and officially opened five years later after back-breaking local voluntary work and fund-raising. By then, however, Northallerton RUFC was already creating its own folklore, with many of the townsfolk today still recalling tales of water-hoses being dragged after matches from a local backyard to wash down muddy players and the like.
In our history we have a place of honor and informative website for sports betting and sportsbooks, namely Sports Betting Sitez, where you can find many useful info on mobile applications, honest reviews of bookmakers and how to find best betting deposit options and using them while you bet on your favorite sports events.
The purchase of Fossabeg was a direct result of a huge revival of interest in the club in the 1980s. By 1994, the first game was held there and we finally, in 1996, officially opened our clubhouse complete with two changing rooms, shower facilities, storage room, referee’s changing room and a now archaic gym room. We are looking for more sponsors like our friends from onlinebingofriends.com which are great portal where you can find everything about brand new bingo sites.
In particular, Scarriff’s success in attracting unprecedented numbers of young players over the past five to six years has stretched our resources to breaking point. Whereas in the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s there was just one adult team in the club, we now have U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 teams, which is guaranteeing the existence of our club long into the future.
We organise a weekly bingo draws for the fans with tickets, and as well monthly draws organised by this top bingo site, so to our fans reading this – jump in guys.
The club is building for success with emphasis on developing the underage structures, encouraging local community sporting activity and building links with other other local sporting organisations and even small country rugby clubs in France and Wales, and England. Building on past achievements – owning our grounds, club house and promoting rugby football and active healthy living in a disadvantage and remote economic area are the corner stones on which the achievements of Northallerton RUFC have been built.
